liverpool legend Jamie Carragher insists there are only four teams left in the Premier League title race and says Manchester United and Manchester City are out of it.

The former Reds defender has admitted it is a surprise to see the two Manchester clubs out of the race, after they first looked like the two favourites to take the spoils at the start of the campaign.

However, Carragher now feels it is between current league leaders Chelsea and the three below them – Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

“I think four [teams can win it],” the former England star told Sky Sports.

“I don’t think the Manchester clubs can.

“I think two or three games into the season we felt they were the two who would battle for the league.

“They’re 10 and 12 points behind. City have still got to go to Chelsea. Goal difference is almost double for Chelsea, which is an extra point, so I only see Arsenal and above who can win the title.”

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry claims Chelsea manager Antonio Conte enjoyed a perfect weekend as his side won and Liverpool were held to a draw with Manchester United.

The Blues responded from a loss against Tottenham Hotspur brilliantly as they beat Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium, with Chelsea also without star striker Diego Costa.

Liverpool further gave Conte something to be happy about on Sunday as they conceded a late equaliser against Manchester United at Old Trafford, and were forced to settle for a point.

Henry believes the Premier League title is Chelsea’s for the taking because they are too strong compared to the teams just below them.

“It was perfect for Chelsea that Manchester United and Liverpool drew,” the Frenchman told Sky Sports.

“They bounced back at Leicester from their defeat to Tottenham.

“Can anyone stop them? And can anyone capitalise on them losing points? At the moment, it looks like it’s Chelsea’s title to lose.”

Chelsea’s win at Leicester bumped their lead at the Premier League summit to seven points, with 17 games left to play of the campaign.
